People are going to strongly disagree with me on this, but is it really that bad if the Blues miss the playoffs? I am as big of a fan as anyone in this city and it hurts to watch this team right now.
Going into the season the Blues were already counted out. Fabbri went down for the season, Steen, Berglund, Sanford all missed opening night.
People are all upset with Doug Armstrong because he “made” this roster. Yes, Armstrong made this team, but without a top 6 player in Fabbri you now count on your bottom 6 and it hasn’t happened.
In my opinion the only downfall to the Blues missing the playoffs would be the 1st round pick that Philadelphia now owns (total Blues move).
I think everyone is upset because the Blues gave them high hopes when they went on a great run at the beginning of the season. Jaden Schwartz going down was the biggest lose of the season.
We can all be mad at the end of the season when the Blues miss the playoffs or we can hope they pull out a great run and make the playoffs. Just know this team was never going to win the Stanley Cup.
