Saint Louis senior third baseman Allie Macfarlane has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference softball Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
Macfarlane batted .375 (6-for-16) with team highs of six RBIs and a .750 slugging percentage in five games at the Ole Miss Classic. She hit safely in every game, including a two-hit effort vs. Chattanooga in the tournament opener and her first home run of the season vs. 17th-ranked Ole Miss. Macfarlane struck out just twice in 18 plate appearances and handled 14 chances without an error.
Macfarlane’s performance raised her season batting average to .319. She leads the Billikens in doubles (five) and RBIs (10).
Up next for Saint Louis is the Eastern Kentucky Invitational Friday–Sunday, March 9-11. The Billikens take on Northern Illinois, Western Carolina, Akron (twice) and Eastern Kentucky.
