Blues Assign Sundqvist To San Antonio; Reassign Walman To Binghamton

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrongannounced today the club has assigned forward Oskar Sundqvist (AWS-kuhr, SUHND-qvihst) to the American Hockey League’s (AHL) San Antonio Rampage.  In addition, the Blues reassigned defenseman Jake Walmanfrom the AHL’s Chicago Wolves to the AHL’s Binghamton Devils.

Sundqvist, 23, has dressed in 30 games for the Blues this season, posting three assists.  Overall, the 6’3, 206-pound forward has played in 58 career NHL regular season games, logging seven points (one goal, six assists).  A native of Boden, Sweden, Sundqvist was acquired by the Blues via trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins on June 23, 2017.

Walman, 21, has appeared in 40 games for the Wolves this season, collecting 13 points (two goals, 11 assists).  The 6’1, 202-pound defenseman first joined the Wolves last season, posting six points (four goals, two assists) in 15 games overall.  A native of Toronto, Ontario, Walman was drafted by the Blues in the third round, 82nd overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
