Saint Louis head men’s basketball coach Travis Ford is one of 48 head coaches nationally participating in the 2018 Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.
This year, Coach Ford is supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri.
The challenge is simple – the more votes Coach Ford receives on the voting site (www.InfinitiTimeout.com) and on social media, the more money Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri receives.
In addition to voting via the website, fans can vote via social media by using the hashtags #Timeout2Vote and #CoachTravisFord in Instagram and Twitter posts. Or, simply retweet the tweets from the @SaintLouisMBB or @SLU_Billikens twitter accounts that feature those hashtags.
Overall, a fan can vote three times a day – once on the website, once on Twitter and once on Instagram.
There are four rounds in the challenge, with each round meaning more money for the charity. The breakdown is as follows:
Round 1: 48 Coaches ($1,000 per charity) – Voting runs Jan. 2-Jan. 21
Round 2: 24 Coaches ($7,500 per charity) – Voting runs Jan. 22-Feb. 11
Round 3: 16 Coaches ($10,000 per charity) – Voting runs Feb. 12-Feb. 25
FINAL Round: 4 Coaches ($15,000 per charity) – Voting runs Feb. 26-March 10
The winner of the challenge earns $100,000 for his charity.
