Blues Sign Youngest Player in Team History

by Alyssa Bardol

The St. Louis Blues have signed a one-day contract with 8-year old Levi Ervin.

After losing his two year old sister in a car fire last month, the young super fan is traveling with the team next week to Raleigh, NC, to visit the Carolina Hurricanes. This Wednesday, Ervin met with team administrators Doug Armstrong and Tom Stillman and former player Brett Hull to sign his one day contract and receive his personalized jersey that he will wear while the team is at work on Friday night.

This is a stand-up effort by the Blues organization to help Ervin in his coping process and give him a trip of a lifetime. After all, who else can say they were signed as an NHL player at the age of only eight?

Have fun, Levi, and as always, LGB.
