Saint Louis University’s 2017-18 women’s basketball schedule is complete following today’s release of the Atlantic 10 Conference game dates.
SLU opens A-10 play at home vs. St. Bonaventure on New Year’s Eve (tip time to be announced). Also included on the Billikens’ eight-game conference home slate are contests with each of the other five A-10 teams that made a postseason appearance a year ago – NCAA qualifier Dayton and WNIT participants Fordham, Duquesne, George Washington and Saint Joseph’s.
The 2016-17 Billikens posted a 25-9 record and reached the WNIT second round. Three starters – seniors Jackie Kemph and Jenny Vliet and junior Jordyn Frantz – return from that team (full 2017-18 roster here).

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE NOTES
• SLU, which opened the 2016-17 campaign at Davidson on Dec. 31, begins league play on New Year’s Eve for a second consecutive season. This year’s opener vs. St. Bonaventure at Chaifetz Arena marks the first time the Billikens will play an A-10 home game in December.
• The Billikens will appear on national television at least three times – at Fordham Jan. 6 (CBS Sports Network), at Dayton Jan. 14 (ESPNU) and at home vs. Fordham Jan. 31 (NBC Sports Network).
• Thousands of local elementary and middle-school students will visit Chaifetz Arena Jan. 31 as Saint Louis hosts its eighth annual Education Day. The 11 a.m. tip time is to accommodate NBC Sports Network, which will televise the Education Day game for a second consecutive season.
• SLU takes on three of its 13 A-10 opponents both home and away – Fordham, Dayton and George Washington.
• Following the opener vs. St. Bonaventure, Saint Louis plays three straight road games. After that, the Billikens alternate playing two home games followed by two road contests over their next 10 outings.
• The closing stretch of the regular season promises to be exciting as three of the A-10’s 2017 postseason qualifiers – Duquesne, George Washington and Dayton – visit Chaifetz Arena during the final 11 days.
