A couple of days ago, we took a look at the Smackdown LIVE! Women’s Championship match.
Today, we will be taking a look at the RAW Women’s Championship match. Unlike the previously mentioned match, this title match is a Fatal-Four Way Elimination match between Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and the current champion, Bayley.
This match features three of the “Four Horsewomen” of professional wrestling (with Becky Lynch being the fourth). And while not a part of the “Four Horsewomen”, Jax has been a one-women wrecking machine ever since she made her debut on Monday Night RAW, squashing opponents left and right. After losing to Charlotte (who has four reigns as RAW Women’s Champion), Banks began a feud with Jax which saw her suffer a leg injury, which constantly was re-injured by Jax.
Meanwhile, Bayley was called up to the main roster, and immediately was thrust into a feud with Charlotte. The two faced off at Fastlane for the RAW Women’s Championship, in which Bayley won her first WWE title, while Charlotte lost her first PPV match since being called up in 2015. Despite that, the daughter of Hall of Famer Ric Flair would not give up or back down.
RAW commissioner Stephanie McMahon has been on a mission to make life as champion as difficult as possible for Bayley, and just a few weeks ago, added the stipulation that if Jax were to beat her, she would be added to the Wrestlemania title match. And, as stated before, because of that, it is a Fatal-Four Way elimination match.
The prediction that has floated around the wrestling community is that Banks will turn on Bayley either at Wrestlemania or the following night, but it remains to be seen what happens. But this title match is definitely one to keep a close eye on.
