Bortuzzo Placed On Injured Reserve

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have placed defenseman Robert Bortuzzo on injured reserve after he suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday, Dec. 3 against the Winnipeg Jets.

Bortuzzo will be re-evaluated in six weeks.

Bortuzzo, 27, has dressed in 11 games with the Blues this season, posting two points (one goal, one assist) and two penalty minutes.

Overall, the 6-foot-4, 221-pound defenseman has appeared in 177 career NHL regular season games, recording 27 points (eight goals, 19 assists) and 250 penalty minutes.

In addition, the Blues have activated defenseman Joel Edmundson from injured reserve after he missed 12 games with an upper-body injury.
