As the St. Louis Cardinals are rolling into high gear today with the sale of All-Inclusive and Holiday Ticket packages locally at Busch Stadium, the campaign is also non-stop for the Redbirds’ pre-season nest at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida.
An occupant at the Palm Beach County compound since 1998, the Cardinals’ 16-game schedule in 2017 launches February 26 against stadium roommate Florida and concludes in late-March against National League East kingpin Washington.
During Spring Training, the Redbirds have a quartet of home games against both the Marlins and the Nationals, a trio of tussles against Houston, a pair of contests against both Atlanta and the New York Mets and a solo outing against Minnesota.
Overall, the Cardinals will play three-fourths of its Jupiter games against representatives from the National League East (Washington, New York, Florida and Atlanta) while the final quarter are against American League foes (Houston and Minnesota.)
For Redbird Nation, the personal proximity to both last season’s starters and April’s roster potentials makes the trek to the Sunshine State a must-do for a fan’s bucket list. Non-diamond experiences, including the numerous beaches that are in close proximity to Roger Dean Stadium and the dining, shopping and entertainment venues that encompass the area, seal the travel deal.
Season tickets and “6+ Mini Plan” tickets are on sale now at Roger Dean’s official website while individual game tickets go on sale January 7.
