Wanting to add on to that growing collection of St. Louis Cardinals’ bobbleheads? Aiming to claim a limited edition replica Redbirds jersey? How about a Mike Shannon alarm clock…perhaps telling you to “Get Up! Get Up!”?
On Tuesday, the franchise released its 2017 home promotional calendar for select Cardinals games and among the 50 entries listed, including the aforementioned items, it contained booty that featured trinkets recognizing past championship teams and Hall of Famers, offered free ducats for younger fans and incorporated complementary ice cream and post-game fireworks on-site.
A majority of the giveaways is designed for the first 30,000 adults that enter Busch Stadium on game days but there are many that target those underage, such as kids’ gloves and select ticket vouchers to future events.
Those that have already purchased season tickets already have first-crack at these promotional nights but everyone will have a chance to claim bounty when Holiday Ticket Packs and All-Inclusive tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am. Eight Cardinal bobbleheads – which includes a pair of rare “Final Out” models from Bob Gibson and Tim McCarver – will be featured. Seven replica jerseys and three replica rings are also slotted for distribution.
Key collectible weekends include series against the Reds (April 7-9 & April 28-30), the Giants (May 19-21), the Phillies (June 9-11), the Pirates (June 23-25 & September 8-10), the Nationals (June 30-July 2), the Mets (July 7-9), the Diamondbacks (July 28-30), the Braves (August 11-13), the Rays (August 25-27) and the Brewers (September 29-October 1).
Promotional nights throughout the season will highlight the 50th anniversary of St. Louis’ 1967 World Championship team.
