THE BASICS
Evie Lavelle scored her first collegiate goal late in the first half to lift Saint Louis to a record-tying 1-0 victory over ValparaisoFriday afternoon at Nebraska’s Barbara Hibner Stadium. The Billikens (4-0), who got three saves from Mary Niehaus, registered a third consecutive shutout and tied the program record for best start to a season. Valparaiso fell to 2-3.
