SLU Baseball to Play at Busch Stadium

Saint Louis baseball will take on Parkland Junior College in an exhibition contest at Busch Stadium onWednesday, Sept. 14. The Billikens play immediately after the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Chicago Cubs. First pitch for the Cardinals’ game is set for 12:45 p.m.

It is the first time SLU has played at Busch Stadium since facing Missouri on April 1, 2009. That contest was the first collegiate baseball game played at Busch Stadium.

Tickets for the Cardinals/Cubs game are $45 and include admission to the Billikens’ game. Tickets are located on the third base loge box seat. Fans can purchase tickets from the Saint Louis baseball office at 314-977-3260 or e-mail head coach Darin Hendrickson at [email protected].

The Billikens return six starters in the field and two starting pitchers from last year’s team including first-team All-Atlantic 10 honoree Trent Leimkuehler. Additionally, Saint Louis boasts the No. 61 recruiting class in the country per Perfect Game.
