Junior college standout Nick Reeser (Lakewood, Cali./Lakewood/Cypress CC) will join the Saint Louis baseball squad to play his final two years of eligibility. He is the 12th member of the Billikens’ incoming class that is ranked in the top 100 by Perfect Game.
Reeser is a corner infielder who played two years at Cypress College in Cypress, Cali. As a sophomore, he hit .386 with three home runs, 10 doubles, 34 runs and 45 RBIs in 44 games with the Chargers. Prior to joining Cypress, Reeser played high school baseball at Lakewood where he was an All-League selection and hit .300 or better in all four years of competition.
“Nick is going to be an impact bat with experience who comes from a great team in a very competitive California community college league,” Saint Louis head coach Darin Hendricksonsaid. “He is a doubles hitter with pop who is advanced in his approach at the plate. Nick will bring some much-needed experience to our lineup. He will see time at both corner infield spots as well as in the outfield. Nick is a winning player and will help our team right away.”
Reeser joins Carter Hanford and Aaron Patton as incoming junior college players for SLU next season. Garret Acton, Jake Garella, Josh Garner, Ryan Hernandez, Keith Kutzler, Justin Lockwood, Nick Mehlin, Charlie Sheehan and Justin Stollberg will join the 2017 squad as freshmen.
