LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Despite Memphis (19-27) having their best offensive performance of the season scoring 14 runs and hitting 17 times, Las Vegas (26-22) also scored a season-high 17 runs and hit 21 times to overpower the Redbirds, 17-14.

Nick Martini tied the season-high for most hits by a Redbird with four and went 4-for-5 on the day.  This was the first four-hit game for Martini since September 1, 2014, when he as a member of the Springfield Cardinals. Charlie Tilson went 3-for-6 today in the lead off spot and has gone 10-for-29 on the current road trip for the Redbirds.

Mike Ohlman and Patrick Wisdom each had a home run in the top of the eighth to help the Redbirds get back in to the game and finished going a combined 4-for-7 at the plate and each picked up a pair of RBI.  David Washington also had two hits on the night and has now hit safely in 17 of 21 games he has played in.

Eight hitters for Las Vegas were able to hit at least twice tonight and the first six batters in the line up combined to go 16-for-34 at the plate and had a total of nine runs batted in.

J.C. Sulbaran struggled in his tenth start of the season throwing just 3.2 innings and giving up 10 runs for the second straight outing this year.  Sulbaran has now lost four straight starts and has yet to win as a starter since April 13.  In relief, Heath Wyatt and Kurt Heyer threw a combined 4.1 innings and gave up seven runs on 11 hits.
