Mackenzie Peter Selected A-10 Softball co-Player of the Week

Saint Louis junior center fielder Mackenzie Peter has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference softball co-Player of the Week for games played March 21-27. The award is Peter’s second this season and fourth of her career.

Peter hit safely in all four Saint Louis games last week, including a pair of two-hit outings. She registered a .600 batting average (6-for-10) with two home runs, three doubles, five RBIs, five runs and five walks. Peter turned in a .750 on-base percentage and a 1.500 slugging percentage, and she struck out just once in 16 plate appearances.

Peter leads the Billikens in batting average (.350), home runs (nine), RBIs (22), hits (28), doubles (nine), runs (25), on-base percentage (.454), total bases (66) and slugging percentage (.825). In the NCAA rankings, she is 20th in home runs per game (0.33), 30th in slugging percentage and 50th in doubles per game (0.33).

Peter leads the A-10 in home runs, slugging percentage and total bases. She is second in RBIs, doubles and runs, third in walks (15) and 11th in batting average.

Saint Louis hosts Missouri Wednesday, March 30, in a doubleheader that begins at 3 p.m. The first 250 Billiken fans will receive a free Billiken blue T-shirt.
