Despite having three players that average over 10 points per game, the Bulldogs are not having a good year. They are dead last in the Missouri Valley Conference. Their lone win against a MVC opponent came against the Bradley Braves, the team that sits right above the Bulldogs in the MVC standings at ninth. The out of conference wins that Drake has are not quite the best opponents either. Their five other wins came against Simpson, Western Kentucky, Pepperdine, UIC, and Abilene Christian. In case you didn’t know, none of those teams are going to be headed to the NCAA Tournament. Drake is likely to enter the MVC tournament as the worst seed, #10. Like mentioned in the Bradley team profile, Drake will be playing in the play-in games on Thursday and even if they advance passed that, don’t expect any type of run from them.
