The Blues grab four points in The Sunshine State as they defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning. Jaden Schwartz has brought some fire to a desperate offense.

The Blues haven’t lost a game in 2016 with Jaden Schwartz on the ice…

This was a great weekend. For some, a great long weekend. Either way, the Blues pick up two wins with their fathers in attendance.

The Lightning outshot the Blues 12-to-4 in the first period. However, both teams finished the first 20 minutes scoreless.

It took 36 seconds into the second period for the Blues to break the ice. Paul Stastny found Robby Fabbri behind Tampa Bay’s defense. Fabbri coasted into the zone with Troy Brouwer behind him. He undresses St. Louis native Ben Bishop with a snipe to the top-right corner. His 13th goal of the season gave the Blues a 1-0 lead.

Brian Elliott stopped 23 shots in the first two periods.

Patrik Berglund gave the Blues an insurance goal with less than three minutes in regulation. He was initially stopped on a breakaway, but his skate bumped the puck past Bishop to give the Blues the two goal lead.

With 0:52 seconds left in the game, Nikita Kucherov scored his 23rd goal. Berglund was awarded the game-winner as the Blues beat the Lightening 2-1.

The Blues will host the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, 7:00 p.m.
