The St. Louis Blues have now lost three straight games after a 4-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs at home.
Nazem Kadri led the way with two goals along with a tally from Brad Boyes and P.A. Parenteau. Vladamir Tarasenko scored the lone goal for the Blues as Jake Allen stopped 25 of 29 shots faced.
Following the loss, St. Louis falls to 15-8-4 for 34 points. The Blues trail the Dallas Stars for first place in the Central Division by eight points.
Despite the loss, the Blues got out to an early lead.
On a two-on-one, Paul Stastny passed to Tarasenko who collected the pass and fired a goal through the five hole of Garret Sparks.
From that point on, it was all Maple Leafs.
Late in the first period, Leo Komerov carried the puck into the attacking end and took a shot on Allen. Allen made the first stop, but Kadri was there to put the puck in the net to tie the game after one period of play.
Shawn Matthias pulled up to wait for reinforcements in the attacking zone before dropping it to Roman Polak. Polak ripped a shot on net that Boyes deflected past Allen to make it 2-1 with 13:49 left in the second period.
The goal put Toronto on top for good as Parenteau and Kadri tallied goals later in the game.
The Blues will look to get back on track against the Arizona Coyotes Tuesday, Dec. 8.
