Cardinals Activate Randal Grichuk From DL

by Press Release

The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior to this evening’s game that they have activated rookie outfielder Randal Grichuk (right elbow strain) from the 15-day disabled list.

Grichuk, who missed 18 games during his recent stint on the D. L., is still ranked among National League rookie leaders in doubles (21-7th), triples (7-1st), home runs (15-T3rd), RBI (9th) and extra base hits (43-2nd). Grichuk, 24, also missed time earlier this season (April 17May 15) due to a lower back strain.

The right-handed hitting Grichuk, leads Cardinals outfielders with his seven defensive gems and is batting .284 (82-for-289) with a .561 slugging pct. in his 85 games played.
