Saint Louis volleyball’s 2015 recruiting class has earned “High Honorable Mention” recognition by PrepVolleyball.com. Billiken classes have been recognized by PrepVolleyball.com in each of the past four seasons, each year of head coach Kent Miller’s tenure.

“We are extremely excited about our incoming freshmen class and privileged to have the class ranked as ‘High Honorable Mention’ by PrepVolleyball.com,” Miller said. “It is critically important that we continue to recruit student-athletes who not only can compete at the highest level but also embrace the mission and values of Saint Louis University and the Billiken volleyball program.”

The incoming class consists of defensive specialist Jenny Backus from Jackson, Wis. (Kettle Moraine Lutheran/Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club), outside hitter Katia Haak from Lake Mary, Fla. (Lake Mary/Orlando Volleyball Academy), outside hitter Monica Loftus from Lombard, Ill. (Montini Catholic/First Alliance Volleyball Club) and setter Camila Rivas from Orlando, Fla. (Olympia/Orlando Volleyball Academy).

Using input from a panel of college coaches from around the country. Members of the coaches’ panel were asked to judge each class using both size and strength of the class and impact on that program as guides. Coaches also were requested to assess based on the cumulative impact the class could make in four or five years at the school, not only on the group’s potential immediate impact during the upcoming season.
