Saint Louis baseball fell to 31-17 overall after an 8-2 defeat against No. 19 Missouri State. Sophomore Nick Vichio (0-1) got the loss. It was the final home game for the Billikens in the 2015 schedule.

The Bears scored a run in the top of the first, but a sacrifice fly from Braxton Martinez tied the game at one in the first.

In the bottom of the fourth, Josh Bunselmeyer ripped his eighth home run of the season, a deep shot to left field, giving SLU a 2-1 lead.

Missouri State took the lead with a three-run seventh inning. The Bears later scored three more runs in the eighth and another run in the ninth to take the 8-2 victory.

At the plate, Martinez was 2-3 with an RBI. Mike Vigliarolo went 0-3 with a run scored, but a walk drawn in the third inning extended his on-base streak to 36 games. Michael Bozarth had an 18-game hitting streak snapped.

Next up for the Billikens is a three-game weekend series at George Washington May 8-10. George Washington also is the host of the 2015 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship beginning May 20.
