The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) released its calculated rankings of international leagues Wednesday and the two primary travel squads featured at archcitysports.com retained Top 40 status for the sixth straight month.
Out of the 238 international leagues eligible for rank, St. Louis-based Arch Rival Roller Girls climbed three positions to #20 while St. Charles-based St. Chux Derby Chix fell three positions to #39.
Calculated rankings are determined mathematically utilizing an algorithm that incorporates strength of opponent and game outcomes. The Top 40 teams listed at the end of the June rankings period are eligible for the WFTDA Division 1 playoffs, scheduled for Fall 2015.
Arch Rival (4-0) returns to the WFTDA Top 20 since February 2014. The league hit a highmark of #13 in 2013.
St. Louis hosts unranked Team United at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin on Saturday, May 2.
St. Chux (2-6) finished 1-3 at its hosted “Skate to Thrill” invitational last weekend in St. Peters. Those results were not calculated in its current ranking. The Pack In Black host #38 Oklahoma Victory at Matteson Square Gardens in St. Peters on Saturday, June 20.
