The St. Louis Rams’ 2015 preseason will kick off in Oakland and will include a nationally-televised game in Tennessee before back-to-back home contests against the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs.
The Rams and Titans will square off on Sunday, Aug. 23, and Fox will broadcast the Preseason Week 2 tilt across the country. The times and dates of the Rams’ other three preseason contests will be announced at a later date. The games against the Raiders, Colts and Chiefs will air live on KTVI Fox 2 – Home of the Rams.
St. Louis will visit the Raiders in Week 1 of preseason play. This year’s game will mark the 19th time the Rams and Raiders have faced each other in the preseason with the last coming at Oakland in 2007.
In Week 2, Jeff Fisher will make his first trip to Nashville as an opponent as his Rams will face the franchise he led for 16 ½ seasons. The Titans lead the all-time preseason series 7-4. The Rams won the last preseason matchup against Tennessee, a 2011 contest played at the Edward Jones Dome.
The Rams will play host to Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. St. Louis holds a 3-1 lead in the preseason series. The teams met in the preseason in 2011 in St. Louis and 2012 in Indianapolis.
The 2015 preseason slate will wrap up with a renewal of the Governor’s Cup series as the Rams host the Chiefs. The Rams are 14-8 against Kansas City in the preseason with the last matchup coming in 2012 at the Edward Jones Dome.
