So long Austin Pettis.

The St. Louis Rams wide receiver was waived today after being a healthy scratch against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Pettis, a third round draft pick in 2011 never really lived up to his potential with the Rams organization.

Pettis caught 12 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Rams first five games and was a favorite target for injured quarterback Sam Bradford. At 6-foot-3 and 203 pounds Pettis could be a nice option for teams looking for some wide receiver depth.

With Brian Quick finally stepping up as the teams number one option and other wide receivers such as Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey showing more potential Pettis wasn’t going to get the same amount of targets.

Pettis registered 107 receptions for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns in his four years with St. Louis.

The Rams take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 26.
