I’ll admit, any team that faces the Cardinals becomes the mortal enemy. Especially when it’s in the postseason. Back in the day, when the Astros were good, you know, when they were the “Killer B’s”, I hated that Astros team. They were good, but they were also the nemesis. Let’s face it, if my kids were playing the Cardinals, I would probably talk smack on them. Okay…not really, but you know what I mean.
Here are just a FEW of the reasons that fuel my fire against the Dodgers: (in no particular order)
1. Zach Greinke–this guy, this guy…he’s just, he’s just…ugh. He’s a good pitcher. Heck, the Cardinals couldn’t even touch him last night, but he likes to talk to the media. Do you remember a few years ago when the Brewers (Greinke’s then team) played the Cards in the NLCS in 2011? Do you remember Greinke talking about what his teammates thought of Chris Carpenter? I’ll let you Google it. It wasn’t nice. Let’s just say I can’t respect a man who decides to run his mouth to the media.
2. Yasiel Puig–Puig is a decent fielder. He (sometimes) is a decent hitter. BUT, he’s also a hot head. For example, last night, Lance Lynn threw him a pitch up and in. He not only stared down Lynn on the mound, but he also mouthed Yadi after he struck out. Yadi dismissed him easily. Too bad the umpire had to get involved. Now, I’m not saying Yadi didn’t say anything to him while he was at the plate, and I’m not saying he did, but I do know that Puig could’ve proved himself with the bat…which he never did last night. He was up four times in that game, and struck out every…single…time.
3. Adrian Gonzalez–I worry about this guy’s intelligence. I mean, come on. In case you missed it, in Friday night’s game, Puig was hit with a pitch by Wainwright. Gonzalez was on deck. As soon as the hit-by-pitch happened, Gonzalez ran up to Yadi and tried to start something. I mean, seriously? You wanna go after the guy that is covered in catcher’s gear? Plus, I mean, it’s Yadi. I don’t know too much about this Gonzalez character, but what I do know about him is that he likes to do this stuff.
I can think of a million other reasons not to like the Dodgers, but these are my top three. I thought I should share.
What else do you expect from a bunch of guys who live in Hollywood? All about the drama.
Here’s to taking the series in St. Louis!
As always…Go Cards!

I’ve never hated a team so much as I do the Dodgers. If it was any other team and we lost I’d OK with it, but not the Dodgers. It’s a total good vs. evil series. I don’t know if it’s Puig, or the outrageous payroll, but I can’t stand them. GO CARDINALS!!!!
How it feel to be a Cardinals fan when they meet the Dodgers in the playoff’s.
I listened to Vin Scully on the radio last night and heard his continual outpour of respect for the Cardinal players, team and organization. I hear Kershaw and Ellis, make no excuses and defend Cardinal hitting and overall play in the first game. I wakeup to read an article in the LA Times this morning praising the cool heads of Matheny and the Cards. In turn this is what is written in STL… ugh. We all speak of class like we know what that means outside of our own perspectives. This has little to do about baseball, character or truth. It, at best, is a poor editorial comparable to that of a hateful teenager’s signing of a another’s yearbook—encouraging even more mindless, hateful statements in the ensuing comments. When I was a kid, I hated Reggie Jackson, everything about him, like I knew him, spent time with him or understood him. As I grew older I realized that my hate for him had nothing to with him, but rather had everything to do about me.
Early in life, I was a Dodger fan, because my dad was, until they dumped Ron Cey to the Cubs, and I adopted the Cubs and despised the Cards because of the history between the 2 teams. I was ignorant to what they were really all about.
Then I moved to Missouri and rediscovered baseball (steroid boycott for about 5 years) and with it, the Cardinal way. I’m still torn when playing the Cubbies, but in the end, I know which is the better team.
As for the Dodgers, I savor the defeats handed to Kershaw last year and this during the playoffs. Best pitcher, yes, choke artist, YES. Go away Dodgers, you don’t belong in the Cardinals sandbox.
How you gonna hate on Kershaw the guy is class act.To say the Dodgers don’t belong on there sandbox is ridiculous I know it’s you’re
opinion well I’ve got mine when you look to hit a player like Hanley last yr an know puig what can you expect Handley was a key player to our club no excuses we lost so you shouldn’t expect us to lay down let’s just hope for a clean game may the best team win!! GO DODGERS!!
You get one team and you stick with them for life. You’re a shitty fan with no credibility.
Is this an 8th grader writing? Does everybody get their own sport blog now?
STFU!!! Go Dodgers!!
I wonder if the “author” — anyone can get a blog these days — is old enough to remember Jeffrey Leonard and his “one flap down” taunt of the Cardinals in the 1987 NLCS. Doubt it. Oh, and he was the series MVP.
She hates Grienke because he was unhittable. She hates Gonzalez (this year’s NL RBI leader) for getting in Molina’s face after Puig took an inside pitch. She hates Puig for being 23, young, and making a huge adjustment from Cuba to Mexico to America. Gosh, who broke Hanley’s rib last year? Yeah. Thought so.

I really wish people outside of L.A. would not attribute the “Hollywood lifestyle” to everything in California. Ever been to Hollywood? It’s not as glamorous as you think but then again, this whole article seems to be delusional.

I thought the Cards fans were the most knowledgeable fans in baseball but the fact that you said Puig was a “decent fielder” makes me re thing that thought. I can not wait til the Cards base runners try to test his arm and take that extra base only to rethink that mistake when thy are called out. With all your hatefulness I am just going to have to clump Cards fans in with Gnats fans.
Go Dodgers!!!
Meh. Jeffrey Leonard taunted and tore you guys up in 1987. What the Dodgers are doing is nothing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zXGIgjDb_E
