Livi Logan-Wood scored two goals, and Saint Louis out-shot Omaha 29-6 in a 4-2 Billiken victory Saturday afternoon at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

The Billikens evened their record at 5-5 as they prepare to begin Atlantic 10 Conference play next Saturday at preseason favorite and defending regular-season champion Dayton. Omaha, a member of the Summit League, slipped to 2-8.

Saint Louis established season highs of 29 total shots and 15 shots on goal while tying its season bests of four goals and four assists. It was the Billikens’ third four-goal game of the season. Omaha’s six total shots tied the season low by a Saint Louis opponent.

In recording the first two-goal performance of her collegiate career, Logan-Wood became the second Billiken to find the back of the net twice in a game this season. Lindsay Elking hit the target twice at Illinois-Chicago.

Omaha took an early lead on Chelsi Rohloff’s team-leading sixth goal of the season at the 4:32 mark. Assisted by Kyla Booker, Rohloff fired a 20-yard shot into the right side of the net.

Saint Louis registered the equalizer at 8:01. Kirsten Clemens, who launched a career-high and team-season-high seven total shots, scored her team-leading fifth goal of the year. Clemens collected a rebound and buried a shot into the left side.

The Bills took a 2-1 lead into intermission thanks to Logan-Wood’s second goal of the season at 34:54, assisted by Lauren Tondl. Logan-Wood took Tondl’s thru ball on the run and tapped in a shot.

SLU doubled its lead at 51:23 when Logan-Wood, assisted by Molly Ream and Mary Wright, struck again. Wright began the play with a pass to Ream on the right side, and Logan-Wood directed a header into the net on Ream’s cross.

The Billikens added insurance at 81:31 on Jordan Catalano’s first collegiate goal. With the Omaha keeper pulled out, Catalano took a feed from Danielle Manning and found the open goal.

Omaha’s Layla Ashouri accounted for the final score with her first goal of the season, unassisted at 89:47.

Cristina Rodriguez fired a career-high five shots for the Billikens. Logan-Wood notched four shots, including a career-high three on frame.

The Billikens’ A-10 opener at Dayton next Saturday, Oct. 4, kicks off at 4 p.m. (CT).
