The Blues have assigned forward Ivan Barbashev to the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL.
Barbashev made his Blues preseason debut Thursday in a 5-4 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets with 10 minutes, 32 seconds of ice time.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Moscow native was drafted by the Blues in the second round (33rd overall) in 2014.
The training camp roster has now been trimmed to 52 players.
