Fabbri Agrees to Two-Way Entry-Level Deal

The Blues have agreed to terms on a three-year, two-way entry level contract with 2014 first-round pick Robby Fabbri

Fabbri, 18, dressed in 58 regular season games with the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Guelph Storm last season, ranking second on the club and sharing 14th league-wide with 87 points, including 45 goals and 42 assists. In the 2014 OHL postseason, Fabbri helped the Storm capture the OHL Championship, posting 28 points, including a team-leading 13 goals, in 16 games en route to earning the 99 Award as the League’s Playoff MVP. The 5’10, 165-pound center also appeared at the 2014 OHL Top Prospects game, where he was named the Ryobi Hardest Working Player of the Game.

Guelph’s first round selection in the 2012 OHL Draft, Fabbri was named the club’s Rookie of the Year in 2012-13, finishing 15th overall in rookie scoring with 33 points (10 goals, 23 assists) in 59 games. In the summer of 2013, the Mississauga, Ontario native earned a gold medal with Canada at the Ivan Hlinka U-18 Tournament, tallying one assist in five appearances.

Fabbri, the 21st-ranked North American skater in the 2014 NHL Draft, will participate with the Blues at the 2014 Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan starting Sept. 12.
