The St. Louis Attack are happy to announce Head Coach Chris McKinney has agreed to a contract extension for the 2015 season. Coach McKinney led the Attack to an undefeated regular season in 2014, going 8-0. McKinney was named the 2014 Head Coach of the year for the X-League, on his way to leading the Attack to the X-Bowl Championship game.

“I am excited to come back for another year with the Attack,” stated Head Coach Chris McKinney, “we had a great regular season, but I feel we have some unfinished business to take care of in 2015. I am committed to bringing our fans and ownership a championship, that is my #1 goal in 2015.”

McKinney started his coaching career in 2005 as Wide Receiver Coach for Lakeside High School in Atlanta, Georgia until 2012. In 2012-13 McKinney was the Offensive Coordinator for the Georgia Rampage, then moved on as the Wide Receiver and Special Teams Coach for the Philadelphia Soul of the AFL. While with the Soul his team won the American East Conference and were the Arena Bowl Runner-up.
Under Coach McKinney’s influence in 2014 the Attack offense and defense were at the top in most categories in the X-League in 2014.

“We had great success under Coach McKinney last season during the regular season, unfortunately we didn’t reach our ultimate goal of a championship. With Coach McKinney and a solid group of guys from our 2014 team coming back, I see no reason why we shouldn’t be fighting for a championship.” Said St. Louis Attack Owner Andrew Haines.
