The St. Louis Cardinals have recalled right-handed pitcher Jorge Rondon from Triple-A Memphis this morning and will be activated for today’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. To make room, right-handed pitcher Eric Fornataro was optioned to Memphis following Saturday’s game.

Rondon, 26, has been in the Major Leagues twice this season with the Cardinals but has yet to appear in a game. He was 3-2 with a 3.41 ERA in 27 appearances at Memphis, striking out 23 batters in 34.1 innings.
