Saint Louis catcher Colton Frabasilio hit two doubles, but the Billikens fell to SEMO 6-2. The Bills are now 20-14 overall and split the season series with SEMO. Junior LHP Damian Rivera (2-4) was hit with the loss.
Frabasilio is now on a five-game hitting streak. He is 8-20 (.400) with two doubles, three runs and three RBIs in that span.
The Redhawks scored on a sacrifice fly in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead.
SLU responded in the third with an RBI single off the bat of Braxton Martinez, tying the game at one.
SEMO notched another sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to regain the lead, but Saint Louis bounced back in the bottom of the frame on a sacrifice fly from Drew Curtis.
The Billiken bullpen ran into some trouble in the eighth inning, allowing four runs to score. The Bills were unable to answer and fell by a score of 6-2.
Freshman RHP Zach Girrens was the starting pitcher for Saint Louis, and turned in a line of 6.0 IP, three hits, two runs (one earned), four strikeouts and two walks.
The Billikens will host Richmond for a three-game series this weekend. The series will begin on Thursday at 6 p.m.
