Chill Trims Roster; Adds Veteran

by Press Release

St. Charles Chill General Manager and Head Coach Jamie Rivers has trimmed seven players from his training camp roster and added a veteran front-line presence in preparation for the franchise opener on Saturday at 7:05.  The roster now stands at 24 players.

Defenseman Cory Fulton, goalies Kevin McFarland, Troy Redmann, and Tate Maris along with forwards Max Mobley, Phil Bushbacher, and Riley Emmerson have all been released from the Chill.

“I wish all of these guys the best of luck,” said Rivers.  “We have a ton of talent at camp and unfortunately we can’t keep them all.”

One player just added to the roster by Rivers is center Anthony Perdicaro.  The physical center is a veteran of the Central Hockey League (CHL), spending the last two seasons with the Rapid City Rush and Quad City Mallards respectively.  The East Rockaway, NY native is known for more than just his tough play (212 penalty minutes in 85 CHL games).  He scored 16 goals and added 27 assists in 44 games last season for the Mallards, getting back to his career average of just under a point per game after posting just 17 in 41 games with the Rush two seasons ago.

The St. Charles Chill will begin their inaugural season in the Central Hockey League this Saturday, October 19th at the Family Arena.  Season tickets start at under $10 per game (33 home games).  For tickets, sponsorships, and more information on the St. Charles Chill visit www.StCharlesChill.com or call (636) 724-SHOT (7468).
