Chill To Battle Mavericks for Show Me Cup

by Press Release

The St. Charles Chill, in conjunction with the Missouri Mavericks, have announced the teams will be playing for the Show Me Cup this season.  The Chill and Mavericks will play a total of eight games against each other this season and the team with the most points will win the Show Me Cup.

“We look forward to a budding rivalry with our cross-state foes,” said Chill Executive Vice President Patrick Armstrong.  “An I-70 series of our own will only add to the intensity.”

The winner will be presented with the Show Me Cup on March 2, 2014 in Independence at the Events Center following the eighth and final game of the regular season between the teams.  The winner will keep the cup for the following season.  If the teams split the regular season series the winner will be determined by which team tallied the most points in the series followed by the goal differential.

The Chill and Mavericks will drop the puck in the first game of the cross-state rivalry on Saturday night in the Chill season opener at The Family Arena with game time set for 7:05.  Season tickets start at under $10 per game (33 home games).  For tickets, sponsorships, and more information on the St. Charles Chill visit www.StCharlesChill.com or call (636) 724-SHOT (7468).
