MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game homestand with a 6-2 win over the Norfolk Tides at AutoZone Park on Thursday night.

Shortstop Masyn Winn recorded yet another three-hit night in the win. The right-handed hitter clubbed his 18th home run of the season in the third inning to extend the Memphis lead to 2-0. Winn later scored from first on a ball down the left field line.

Once the Redbirds grabbed the lead, the pitching staff did the rest. On the heels of back-to-back shutouts, Memphis did not allow a run until two outs in the top of the eighth inning. Adam Kloffenstein tossed 5.0 innings in relief and allowed two runs on four hits, walked two and struck out five.

In a MLB Rehab start, Jake Woodford tossed 1.2 scoreless innings. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit, walked one and struck out three in his fourth appearance with Memphis this season.

The Redbirds (59-58) return to AutoZone Park on Friday August 18 to continue a six-game homestand at 7:05p.m. CDT against the Norfolk Tides. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
