MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds concluded a six-game series at the Lehigh Valley IronPigs with a 12-11 extra-inning loss on Sunday afternoon at Coca-Cola Park.

Designated hitter Jordan Walker posted a break-out performance in Sunday’s loss. The top prospect put together his first three-hit game at Triple-A, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored, two RBI, a double and a walk.

Despite holding a multi-run lead in each inning from the fourth through the tenth, Lehigh Valley fought back from being down to its final out three times and final strike twice. Reliever Andrew Suarez tossed the final 1.2 innings in the loss.

Michael McGreevy put together another strong outing on Sunday. The right-handed pitcher tossed 5.0 innings of three-run, seven-hit baseball, struck out four and walked two.

For the second consecutive game, center fielder Juniel Querecuto clubbed a late-inning home run. Sunday’s long ball came in the top of the 10th inning, a leadoff two-run shot, his sixth home run of the season. Catcher Aaron Antonini finished the day 2-for-5 with three RBI, all scoring on a bases-loaded triple in the fourth inning.

The Redbirds (24-15) return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, May 16 to begin a 12-game homestand. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
