Cardinals Announce Minor League Coaching Staffs And Player Development Assignments For 2023

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today their 2023 coaching staffs for their minor league teams, in addition to their player development and medical personnel for the upcoming season.

All six managers return to their posts from the 2022 season with Ben Johnson returning at Memphis (AAA), Jose Leger at Springfield (AA), Patrick Anderson at Peoria (High A), Gary Kendall at Palm Beach (Low A), Roberto Espinosa at the Rookie Level Florida Complex League and Fray Peniche in the Dominican Summer League.

New hires to the minor league coaching staff include Howie Clark (hitting coach) and Will Peterson (coach) at Memphis; Eric Peterson (pitching coach), Brock Hammit (hitting coach) and Will Hawks (coach) at Springfield; and Casey Chenoweth (hitting coach) at Peoria.
