Cardinals Avoid Arbitration With Seven Players

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have reached agreements on one-year contracts for the upcoming 2023 season with pitchers Jack Flaherty ($5.4m), Jordan Hicks ($1.87m), Dakota Hudson ($2.65m), and Jordan Montgomery ($10m); infielder Tommy Edman ($4.2m); catcher Andrew Knizner ($1.1m); and outfielder Tyler O’Neill ($4.95m), avoiding salary arbitration.

The team will exchange salary arbitration figures with pitchers Génesis Cabrera and Ryan Helsley following today’s deadline.
