Blues assign forward Josh Leivo to the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds

Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has activated forward Pavel Buchnevich from injured reserve.

 

In addition, the Blues assigned forward Josh Leivo to their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.

 

Buchnevich, 27, has missed the past five games due to a lower-body injury. In 74 career regular-season appearances as a Blue, the Cherepovets, Russia, native has tallied 78 points (31 goals, 47 assists) and 34 penalty minutes.

 

Leivo, 29, has appeared in three games with the Blues this season. Overall, the Innisfil, Ontario, native has dressed in 217 career NHL regular-season games, totaling 77 points (38 goals, 39 assists) and 68 penalty minutes.
