For the latest episode of the Arch City Music Podcast, my co-host Chad was joined by your next favorite singer-songwriter Arlo McKinley. Arlo, from Cincinnati, Ohio and proudly signed to John Prine’s record label, came on our podcast to discuss his new album “This Mess We’re In” – which releases this Friday, July 15th – and his upcoming St. Louis show at the Old Rock House just two weeks later on July 29th.
“This Mess We’re In” will be McKinley’s third studio album and is sure to make a large wake in the Country/Folk/Americana music world. While his first two albums (Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound, 2014, and Die Midwestern, 2020) both saw great levels of success, his popularity has seemingly never been higher and we believe he’s poised to make a great leap with Friday’s release. Listen to Chad and Arlo discuss throwing out the first pitch at the Reds game, his recent tour in Europe, the new album and tour, and a whole lot more here:
Part of the discussion you just listened to above that made me smile was when Arlo spoke highly of his previous shows in Missouri, recalling the high attendances and active crowds, and you can help maintain that reputation by getting your tickets for his July 29th show at the Old Rock House here– they’re still available and at only $15 it is the best deal in town.
