Icy St. Louis streets didn’t deter Imagine Dragons fans

by Carrie Zukoski

Grammy Award-winning Imagine Dragons graced Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis on February 23, 2022, to a faithful crowd. Frontman Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman filled the packed arena with their inspirational rock, hip-hop, pop, and folk sounds to the hearty souls of all ages who braved the icy, cold streets.

For more than 10 years, Imagine Dragons has brought some of the catchiest rock anthems you’ve heard and has had songs featured in too many movies to count.

The stop in St. Louis marked the ninth show into their 22-week Mercury Tour in support of their September 2021 album Mercury. Reynolds made great use of the catwalk, bounding from side to side and up and down the middle making certain to pause along the way to greet fans. For those further away a large screen captured the show in vibrant colors. The added touch of confetti cannons ensured the night was a full-on joyful experience for all in attendance.

If you couldn’t make it or want to relive the experience, check out their setlist here.

No stranger to St. Louis, Grandson kicked the night off to a growing crowd bringing his alt-rock/rap to the growing crowd. Songs during his set included “6:00,” “Despicable,” and “Blood // Water.”
