St. Louis Bandits Host Undefeated West Michigan At Family Arena Sunday

by Brian Ledford

The high-scoring action of St. Louis Bandits arena football returns to Family Arena this Sunday and the local rep of the American Arena League (AAL) aims to keep their unbeaten home record intact.

The Bandits (2-1) host the West Michigan Ironmen (2-0) at 3 p.m. on the St. Charles indoor turf. Tickets are $11-$33.

Last Saturday, St. Louis rebounded from an early 22-point deficit and utilized an effective aerial attack en route to a 46-36 triumph over the Dallas Prime. (EXCLUSIVE RECAP) The ten-point win boosted their home record to 2-0.

Wide receivers Dee Washington and Cole McDaniel each caught three touchdown receptions from quarterback Donovan Porterie.

Their Sunday visitors, West Michigan, have yet to surrender a touchdown this season. The Ironmen blanked Carolina, 66-0, in late-April to remain undefeated.

This will be the first of two consecutive weekends the teams will battle each other in AAL sanctioned play. The home-and-home series continues on May 15 in Muskegon, MI.

The Bandits’ home finale takes place at Family Arena Saturday, May 22 against Indianapolis.
