GAME REVIEW: Detectives United III: Timeless Voyage

by

It’s Leap Day! Bigfishgames.com has given us another hidden object game today so for me it feels more like Groundhog Day. Lol!

Detectives United III: Timeless Voyage is from Elephant Games. They’re mostly known for their hidden object games, but I know them best for Sir Match A-Lot, an addictive match 3 game that can also be found on bigfishgames.com. I have played some of their hidden object games before, too. They are quite involved when it comes to the story & most are part of a series, as this one is.

In this installment of Detectives United, your 3 detectives, James Blackmore, Anna Gray & Agent Brown have been each sent to the past, present & future by Dark Anna. Each of them has to find a certain artifact while being held against their will by Dark Anna & none of them know what she’ll do next. This is not a Collector’s Edition but there is one available.

I played about 20 minutes of the 90 minutes of free play that you get with Detectives United III: Timeless Voyage. As with all the Elephant Games, you have beautiful graphics, smooth game play & an involved story. Like most of the hidden object games I’ve seen lately on bigfishgames.com, this is more of an adventure game than a hidden object game. One thing I did appreciate about this one is that you were sort of advised of that in the synopsis. It was called a “time-spanning hidden-object puzzle adventure game”. Excellent description! There are things you have to look for but it’s far from the classic hidden object style.

Fans of Elephant Games will love this, it’s their classic hidden object type of game. If you’re a fan of the classic hidden object type of game, you might want to wait for another one. If you want to try something new, you’ve got 90 minutes of free game play to see if this is your type of game. What do you have to lose? If you like it, it’s $9.99 or $6.99 for game club members. If you REALLY like it, don’t forget about that Collector’s Edition you can get. Let me know what you think of the game if you do try it out.
