GAME DETAILS

• Sophia Denison scored her first collegiate goal and Hannah Friedrich added what proved to be the game-winner in Saint Louis’ 2-1 victory over Indiana State Sunday afternoon at Hermann Stadium.

• Emma Farley and Evie Lavelle tallied an assist apiece as the Billikens evened their record at 1-1. Indiana State fell to 0-2.

Sophia Denison (Emma Farley), 8:34, SLU 1-0; Hannah Friedrich (Evie Lavelle), 20:56, SLU 2-0; Katie Sidloski (unassisted), 42:34, SLU 2-1.

 

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• Saint Louis improved to 20-3-1 in home openers, including 6-0-1 in its last seven Hermann Stadium debuts.

• The Billikens are 27-1-4 in their last 32 home games.

• The game was the first meeting in women’s soccer between SLU and Indiana State.

• Saint Louis earned a 20-3 advantage in total shots and an 11-1 edge in shots on goal.

• Twelve different Billikens registered at least one shot, with Hannah Friedrich (four) and Brionna Halverson (three) leading the way. Nine players directed at least one shot on frame, led by Friedrich and Abbie Miller with two apiece.
