Perron Signs Two-Year Deal with Blues

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has signed forward David Perron to a two-year contract worth $7.5 million per year.

Perron will return for his second tenure in St. Louis.

Perron, 28, split last season between Pittsburgh and Anaheim. In 43 regular season games with the Penguins, the 6-foot, 200-pound forward collected 16 points (four goals, 12 assists), while he logged 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) in 28 outings with the Ducks.

Perron also dressed in seven postseason games with Anaheim, tallying three points (one goal, two assists).

The Sherbrooke, Quebec native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round (26th overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft and spent the first six of his nine NHL seasons with the club.

Overall, Perron has appeared in 570 career regular season games between St. Louis, Edmonton, Pittsburgh and Anaheim, amassing 332 points (141 goals, 191 assists) and 446 penalty minutes. In addition, he has collected 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 31 career postseason games.
