One more game.
One more game at The Dome.
And one more game to pay tribute to, as well as thank all the St. Louis Rams fans, for over 20 years of support.
On Saturday, July 23rd, Rams legend Isaac Bruce will take part in an event that he himself has organized, called the “Legends of the Dome” game. This game will be a flag football game featuring legends from the past 20 years of the Rams’ history.
“We’re excited to be able to bring together a bunch of the Greatest Show on Turf guys and other former Rams greats to be able to thank the fans for the incredible support over the years,” said Bruce. “We want to fill up the Dome one last time and really show everyone what an incredible sports city St. Louis is. We have the opportunity to raise a lot of money for the Isaac Bruce Foundation which we can then pour back into this great city and it’s really exciting.”
Some of the players that will be there will include:
- Mike Jones: linebacker who made the game-saving tackle in Super Bowl 34
- Orlando Pace: All-Pro offensive lineman, newly announced into the Pro Football Hall of Fame
- Torry Holt: A top-tier wide receiver along with Bruce, playing a big role for over a decade with the Rams
- Dre Bly: The top corner that the Rams had during the Greatest Show on Turf years
- Kurt Warner: Star quarterback whose Cinderella story is one of the greatest in sports history
And many more will be there as well, including coaches Dick Vermeil and Mike Martz.
Proceeds from the game will be donated to the “Isaac Bruce Foundation”, which Bruce created in 2006 in order to help make an impact in the St. Louis community. The Foundation reaches out to youth and teaches them at an early age the importance of a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on education.
Bruce, along with the other Rams’ legends, look to have a huge turnout at The Dome, as this is a true final game, one in which some of the most beloved players of the past 20 years look to say goodbye… in the classiest, exciting way possible.
