Former St. Louis Cardinals’ slugger Jack Clark will visit GCS Ballpark on Saturday, September 5 prior to the Grizzlies’ game against the Lake Erie Crushers presented by Mckendree University.

Clark will hold a meet and greet with VIP ticket holders prior to the game. He will throw out a ceremonial first pitch while also coaching first and third base for the Grizzlies during the course of the game. Fans will also have the opportunity to bid on items signed by Clark during the game. Aside from the Jack Clark festivities, McKendree University also sponsors a tumbler cup giveaway – available to the first 500 fans through the gate. First pitch is at 7:00 p.m.

A four-time all-star and two-time silver slugger in the majors, Clark played for the Cardinals from 1985 to 1987. He won the Silver Slugger Award with the Cardinals in 1985. Clark hit 340 home runs during his major league career while playing for five different teams.

Clark’s appearance at GCS Ballpark comes just one day before the Grizzlies’ annual “Greatest Night in Baseball” on Sunday, September 6. The game is the final contest on Gateway’s 2015 schedule.
