The Memphis Redbirds dropped game five of a six-game series against the Nashville Sounds on Saturday night at AutoZone Park by a final score of 5-3.

For the second time this season, Memphis batters struck out a season-high 15 times on Saturday night. The Redbirds offense attempted to rally back in the ninth inning, an RBI single from third baseman Clint Coulter brought the tying run to the plate.

Reliever Zach McAllister made his league-leading 27^th appearance for Memphis, tossing 2.0 innings of scoreless baseball with a season-high tying four strikeouts.
