Cardinals Acquire RHP T.J. Zeuch From Blue Jays

by Mick Lite

The Cardinals have acquired RHP T.J. Zeuch from Toronto in exchange for cash considerations and optioned him to Memphis (AAA).

Zeuch was recently designated for assignment so the Blue Jays had a week to either trade him or release him to waivers, where he was expected to be targeted by multiple teams.

He is 25 years old, reliable, offers innings, and groundballs.

His contract has two option years remaining before arbitration. Not a free agent until 2027.

He was a first round pick in 2016.

Their 40-player roster now stands at 40.
