Dynamo Pro Wrestling’s Saturday Return To Feature Former WWE/ECW Star, Title Matches

It’s been a long, patient wait for St. Louis-based Dynamo Pro Wrestling as their athletes yearned for their return to the squared-circle.

Grounded since March 2020 due to the pandemic, DPW holds their comeback event, “Crazed Intentions,” this Saturday at The Sports Academy in Glen Carbon, Illinois with an 8 p.m. bell time.

“After over a year lay off, we’re excited to get back to putting on wrestling events for our great fans,” said DPW Owner Jim Yount of the group’s resurgence.

The full-length card features title matches, an over-the-top-rope battle royal and the appearance by a former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) luchador.

DPW’s main event showcases a “Teacher vs. Student” battle as former WWE Superstar Super Crazy faces former DPW Heavyweight Champion Ricky Cruz.

In his three-decade career, Super Crazy has held multiple international titles and is considered one of the most-talented, death-defying athletes that have ever graced the ring. He appeared in the WWE from 2005 to 2008 as first one of the members of “The Mexicools” unit and then transitioning to singles competition.

During his tenure with ECW from 1998 to 2001, Super Crazy held the organization’s television championship in 2000. He has also wrestled for AAA, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Combat Zone Wrestling and Total Nonstop Action (TNA)

He is also highly regarded as an expert trainer and one of his star pupils in 1999 is his adversary Saturday. Cruz was DPW’s Heavyweight Champion in 2016 and also held the Dynamo Pro D1 title in 2019.

In action scheduled for earlier in the evening, an Over-the-Top Battle Royal takes place where the winner faces current DPW Heavyweight Champion Adrian Surge for the title later that night.

Also featured is a DPW D1 Championship match featuring Camaro Jackson putting his strap up against challenger Bandolero.

In tag-team action, DPW Tag Team Champions Arch City Mercenaries defend their titles against the Bum Rush Brothers.

In a grudge match that had been brewing pre-pandemic, Makaze tussles with Sadie Blaze.

DPW Women’s Champion Rahne Victoria is also scheduled to make an appearance.

Tickets at the door are $12 for adults, $5 for children 5-12 while under five are free. Go to this link to purchase tickets.

Note: Due to venue configuration, spectators should bring their own lawn chairs for seating. Also as of press time, masks are required for entry and social distancing will be observed.
