ST. LOUIS AMBUSH RE-SIGN FORWARD DIEGO BOBADILLA

The St. Louis Ambush have re-signed forward Diego Boballia to a three-year contract, the team announced today. Per league and team policies, no other details were disclosed.

Bobadilla thanked the Ambush organization saying, “I had an amazing experience this past season with the Ambush and am excited to be part of the growth they’ve shown every year.”

Bobadilla posted one goal and six assists in 12 games played for the Ambush during the 2019-20 season. Prior to joining the Ambush, Bobadilla played for the Cedar Rapids Rampage during the 2015-16 season.

The Holland, Michigan native has also played for the US Men’s National Futsal team, has been a coach in the Milwaukee area for four years, and has played with the Croatian Eagles SC, United Players Soccer Academy, WSG Futsal Club and Strike FC. Prior to turning pro, Bobadilla played collegiate soccer at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Ambush head coach Hewerton praised Bobadilla’s technical skills, speed and intensity. “I firmly believe he will be even more effective next season with the added experience,” Hewerton said. Ambush co-owner and general manager Jeff Locker also expressed enthusiasm for Bobadilla’s future, saying, “He continues to be a bigger part of the organization and we look forward to his continued success.”
